Frequently Asked Questions

I saw a model that I liked but I don't like the color, is it possible to make it in another color?

Most jewelry and sewing pieces can be made in other colors or pattern combinations, with more or less pockets, with another type of strap or clasp, larger or smaller.  The great thing about handmade items made to order is precisely that they can be made to the taste of whoever is going to use them.

Why are items for order not priced?

Because the final price depends on the material used and the final design of the article, an article made to the recipient's specifications does not cost the same as an article already published on the blog and made with reused materials.

If the sewing items shown are made with reused materials, why do you charge for them?

Not all items are made with reused materials, and in others only a part comes from reuse. Materials such as rings, carabiners, buttons, interlinings and linings are usually new, sometimes I can reuse zippers but if I don't have the color I need I have to buy them.

If the purpose of the blog is to share ideas why do you have articles for sale?

Sales are a way to sell the items I've made with no recipient in mind, because space is limited and I can't keep everything I make.

The other big reason is to be able to make some money to be able to buy more materials. When I started doing creative sewing I had to set a limit so I don't buy more materials than I need and end up with a lot of money tied up and stuff piled up in the closet, this happened with the jewelry material, and I learned my lesson. Now the rule is, I can only buy material with the money I make from sales.

Why are there no detailed tutorials on the blog?

The purpose of this blog is to share ideas and creations as a form of inspiration for other people to dare to create, my objective is not to make tutorials, there are already numerous content creators on youtube who make high quality tutorials, some of which also have inspired me and in these cases I usually share the link.

I've started to do some videos where I show how I did something, I don’t see them as tutorials, because I'm not a seamstress, carpenter or artist, but I share what I do and how I do it in the hope that when people see it, they'll feel inspired to try something new too.
